I'm reading Angela's Ashes. I'm not very far into it, but its pretty good so far. Don't read A Painted House by Tom Clancy I think- it's the most boring book I have ever attempted to read.

It's John Grisham Rhandal, and I suggest reading anything John Grisham, you'll probally enjoy almost any of his books. Don't listen to Rhandal she doesn't know.

"Tis", Frank Mcourts continuation of his adventures in the US is a must being you've enjoyed AA. Very bright, funny and heartwarming. Check it out.

Anyone read any good books they'd like to recommend? Nothing political please. I don't have time to wrap my feable mind around that shit. Theres so many great books Train where does one start? So many classic easy reads Like Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye",Thoreau's "Walden", Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby', Most anything Steinbeck ( Tortilla Flat is super funny, bout a bunch of drunks squatting in a house on Cannery Row getting faced on red wine) Dalton Trumbo's 'Jonny's got his gun' is a pretty fun time too. Cheers a down fellow right up . Alot of people have been all about Chuck Palahniuk shit lately "Lullaby and "Fight Club" specifically in recent years. His stuffs OK, I wouldnt buy one of his books though, just another flash in the pan trendy wanna be author with zero staying power. Last time I was in jail I choked down some Patterson, It wasnt all that bad I guess considering the alternatives. The Jester was the book. Next time your locked up, look for it. Otherwise, no...

I've read "Catcher in the Rye", "Walden", and "Great Gatsby". All good reads. I need to read "Johnny Got His Gun" though. Are there any new books worth a shit? Are there any new authors that are turning heads? I'm so out of the loop. I'll read three books in a week and then I won't read another for six months.

Have you read any Kurt Vonnegut? I love his stuff. I think you'd like Bukowski as well. I'm more into classical literature and my favorite is Ernest Hemingway - anything by him I'd recommend. More:
1984 A heartbreaking work of staggering genius - Dave Eggers Giants in the Earth (about pioneers in Minnesota) - Rolvaag House of Leaves (freaky book, very neat)

Haven't seen anybody mention Bradbury's Fahrenheight 451 or Heller's Catch-22. I'm trudging through a H.S.Thompson book called The Proud Highway not certain I would reccommend it as it's a collection of correspondence (letters/essays/crazy notes to dodge bill collector/article and short storys) from his young adult life. It's ok, but a lot of it is terribly boring. Interesting way to go through his life, kinda on an Anti-Biography if you will.

Recently I've read... Hell's Angel by Sonny Barger and The Longest Winter by some guys who's name escapes me. Great fucking read though. It's about the Battle of the Bulge.
