Anybody back in March/April think the Twins and Sox would be on top of the division at the end of June? I didn't. Didn't think Baker would fan four guys in an inning back on Father's day either. I couldn't be happier about it, gave me the motivation to mosy down to the Pro Shop and pick up a sleek new fitted "M" twins hat. Fuck that TC hat!

"Sweet SUmmer of Stun in the Sun" I'll rip off the title from kfan, but the run the Twins are on is amazing! Like two years ago, I've been waiting for them to fall flat on their faces, but they keep winning! I get that the young pitching staff may have problems when it's crunch time down the stretch and even if they do, who could have saw what their doing now? Levan Hernandez blows and eventually will be replaced by Liriano so that makes me think that for the next 3-5 yrs we are going to have a high caliber ACE, and a very solid rotation 2 through 5 as well! I know they were building for the future with little hopes of contending this year, but all of the sudden your in the heart of a playoff race with a future shining bright! I realisticly don't believe they can win it all, but this is good process to be going through for such a young team.
I could do without Delmon Young, Brendan Harris and Mike Lamb. But outside Young the others aren't sought to be in the future plans. And Bonser is terrible too.

I've been missing a lot of Twins games recently due to clinicals. Apparently Young has brought his average up to .296? Wow. I think I've seen him make contact three times this year.
What is KFAN saying about a return date for Liriano? The paper was saying he is kinda pissed.

Yeah, they don't want to bring Liriano up and put him in the bullpen cuz "he's a starter and don't want to mess with his head!" How the hell will he handle a rocky start if he can't get over that little hump? Pretty dumb, but thats what they think. I guess Santana did "ok" after coming from the bullpen to starter! But as far as I'm concerned they can dump Levon anytime for Liriano!
from twins website: I'm ready," Liriano told the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle after his latest start.
The 24-year-old left-hander has been making a pretty strong case for a callup lately. In his past five starts, Liriano has a 0.26 ERA while allowing just one earned run over 35 innings. His win on Tuesday night brought his record on the season to 9-2 with a 3.13 ERA at Rochester. Um? Maybe bring him up asap!
And send Gomez down to triple A and see if he can learn to hit again

...about fuckin time! Levon the next bus outta fuckin town Hernandez, it's time for Liriano! This should have been done awhile ago, but oh well, now it is. All he has to do to be better than Levon is post a sub 6.00ERA and go 6 innings an outing....oh and not lead the league in hits!
