Thats too much money. Especially since you probably wouldn't be able to see shit from up there. I'll gladly watch on Gus' 48 in HD TV.

Apparently the announcement (which has been postponed) has something to do with sanctioning fights in New York state since they werent allowed there before. Dana did say it would "change the direction of MMA" so even if Mayweather did sign, he isnt someone who is going to change the course of the sport.

Legalizing MMA in NY isn't changing the course of the sport either. Its just another state. I don't see how that affects me; the guy on the couch in MN.

Well I dont think so either, that's just the best guess that people have been talking about since there was a bill in the legislature about legalizing it there but it got pushed back.
I think it's a major tv network deal too. Damn it, Dana. hurry up.

Yeah. Not exactly big news. I guess they are planning on having events all over the world. Doesn't much matter to me when I am sitting on the couch watching it.

Picks for July 5th's UFC
Rampage vs. Forrest As much as I want Forrest to win, I don't see how he can. Rampage didn't gas in a five round fight with Dan Henderson. Rampage has been on the ground with some of the best and survived (Bustamonte, Arona, Henderson). He has knocked out strikers like Chuck Liddell. Unless Forrest has worked on his Thai knees with Wanderlei, I don't see how Forrest can win. I believe Forrest will outwork him but get caught with one big shot that puts him out. Forrest isn't known for having the best chin. Rampage KO in the 4th. I really hope I'm wrong though
Cote vs. Almeida I want Cote to win but Almeida via submission in the 2nd. Almeida is on a different level on the ground than Cote. Cote has great hands but Almeida's striking is decent and his takedowns have improved.
Stevenson vs. Tibau Stevenson TKO 2nd. Stevenson is better all around: jits, wrestling, striking, conditioning, being babyfaced.
Griffin vs. Aurelio Griffin via decision. Aurelio is slick on the ground but Griffin has good submission defense and DOES NOT tap.
Gonzaga vs. McCully Who the fuck cares? Two fat hairy guys dry humping. Gonzaga via having an ounce of skill in his fat belly.
Gurgel vs. Miller Jorge via decision. Two guys that don't deserve to be in the UFC and will never make a run at the title. Gurgel has one of the worst records in the UFC yet he still gets fights. This will not make PPV
Hill vs. Buchholz Hill via destruction in the first. I hate him though. Buchholz who? Hill has too much length on him. And he's a junior college national champion.
Train vs. Bottle O' Whisky Train via annhilation.
Train vs. Hangover Hangover. Hangover is undefeated.

Apparently a bunch of dudes in suits made up some "unified rules." Basically it created a shitload of new weight classes. I'm not gonna type out all of the new classes but you can go to www.sherdog.com and find the article. I don't like this idea at all. It just complicates things.

Apparently there is controversy over Forrest getting the nod against Rampage. I don't see why. I had Forrest only losing one round. Rampage only took him down once, which was actually Forrest fucking up a leg trip, and once they hit the ground Forrest went for an omoplata and then a triangle. Sure, Rampages big punches look worse/painful, and Forrest's scar tissue above his eyes make for easy cuts, but I think Forrest took this easy.

Well Fedor man-raped Sylvia in 36 seconds and Silva exploded Irvin's face in under a minute. Couture should be scared of Fedor. The entire 185 and 205 lb division should be afraid of Silva.
Its good to see Belfort might be coming back to his old form now since he has dropped down to middleweight. Silva states he has no intention of fighting for the 205 belt. He is homo friendly with Machida and doesn't want to fight his boyfriend.
